This week we went to watch UP, the latest film from Pixar, and we loved it.
By chance we watched it on 3D, and it was awesome. That was my first 3D movie ever, and I must say that I was a little reluctant at first, but the 3D effect it’s very good accomplished by this “new” 3D cinema technology.
The film it’s very nice, I recommend it (no matter if you watch it on 3D or in plain classic 2D), and the 3D version… well. If you like to test new things, go on with it, but I found some downsides to the 3D cinema idea:
- The glasses you need to watch the movie are too heavy and uncomfortable. If you actually wear glasses the ‘uncomfortable’ word reaches a new level.
- Some scenes, most noticeable on the teasers, need some work. I felt a little dizzy.
- The 3D cinema is expensive. A lot. The plain old 2D cinema it’s not cheap at all, but 10.20€ one ticket for the 3D movie it’s a bit too much.
So, go on with Up
, and think it twice to watch it on 3D.
