Let the Right One In

Yesterday we watched Let the right one in (Låt den rätte komma in), and we loved it.

It’s a movie about vampires, and it makes it easy to understand it (everybody know how the ‘vampire stuff’ works: they drink blood to exist, the sun kills them, etc), but it’s presented in a different way, like a everyday story.

The film it’s a bit slow at first, and we watched the English dubbed version, that isn’t very good (the orginal film is in Swedish). May be it’s because I’m used to the high quality dubbing actors in Spain (where every movie is dubbed), and that’s the second time I watch a movie dubbed to English with bad results.

The most remarkable thing is the acting of Lina Leandersson (she does an awesome work), and the special effects (that are sharp and well thought to create a very credible atmosphere).

I wouldn’t tag the film as horror, I think it’s more a romantic drama. It’s one of the best movies about vampires I’ve ever seen, and I recommend it.
