Nautilus Flickr Uploader in Transifex!

My little rant about Transifex wasn’t fair after all, because all was a communication problem. We’re too used to the Internet immediacy: you can register in a website, verify your mail address, and start enjoying a new service in few minutes, so registering by sending a mail to web editors seems to take ages. Besides, if both sides lose mails in the process, it will take forever.

The bright side of my rant is that a guy from Transifex read it, and he re-sent me an email, and that solved all the problems (thank you Diego!).

Once the project has been added to the site, you can configure everything, although the help of Diego in my case has been very valuable.

The interface is neat and easy to use, I really like it. You can go to the Nautilus Flicker Uploader page in Transifex, and contribute new translations or complete the existing ones.

Following Diego’s recommendations I’ve setup the project in Transifex to push translations directly to an alternate branch in my GIT repo. In this way I can merge the changes with the master branch anytime and the translators can have an updated picture of what’s already in the repository.

But this isn’t the only one cool feature of Transifex. I recommend you to try it, either you have a project to translate or you’re a translator that wants to contribute to an existing project.
