Joss Whedon’s Considered Harmful

Yesterday night I told my cousin I was watching the first season of True Blood. And he said something like: uh, I don’t think I’d like stuff like Buffy or Angel.

No, man! True Blood is is another kind of series, it comes from HBO and I don’t think it’s the stuff Whendon has done. Why Whendon is a reference in Spain? Well, different channels have scheduled Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Charmed.

The last one doesn’t come from Whendon, but has quite the same format: simple plot, cheap special effects and elements to be classic prime-time series.

I think True Blood goes farther, starting from its format: each episode is 50 minutes long.
